We can certainly treat a whole island as a single landscape, but it is more meaningful to zoom in tighter. Here we go in to a set of small cornfields. The yield is not great. The individual stalks are quite small.

An important point about this landscape is that it is real. The pond by the fields exists on this island. Its shape and position come from a publicly available GIS file at the Rhode Island GIS Information Center.
